Initial Conditions for Head-on Collision of Two Non-Spinning Black Holes

As in the rest of this example, we choose a simple case, that of two black holes, neither of which has spin or boost (angular or linear momentum.)  For the moving puncture version of BSSN, the Brill-Lindquist initial data method is used.

In this example, since this is a head-on collision of two non-spinning black holes, our initial conformal parameter:

will be calculated (again, using the Brill-Lindquist method) as:

Where:

is the mass associated with each black hole,

is the initial location of each black hole
